Handling the Truth, Part Two
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!!
This is a time to be grateful for all of the virtues of living in a free society, even with much of the darkness that we have witnessed in the last four months. Every year during this week has always been a good pausing moment to reflect on the first half of the year while contemplating your vision around growth opportunities and potential risks for the second half of the year.
We at GrowthLab are grateful for having pushed through, retained, and even hired new talent in large part because of the tenacity of our team members, loyal & diverse customer base, and lastly with the help of the SBA PPP Loan. We were fortunate enough, because of these, to have weathered the storm and be positioned to capture new opportunities in the horizon.
Obviously, many of you are thinking about the PPP Loan Forgiveness application process but I'd like to remind you that the SBA has released the names of those companies that received loans totaling $150,000 or more. The database of 600,000+ loan recipients can uncover an immense amount of information around your competitive landscape, not to mention hours of social discourse and debate about the program itself! However, with that said, I do recommend management teams spend an hour diving into this dataset to potentially uncover opportunities and risks.
Moments like Monday bring me back to the beginning of COVID-19 when we wrote about "Handling the Truth", in the movie "A Few Good Men"... the irony.
