Hey SMHB, Here's 6 steps to strong business infrastructure

Hi SMHB, Can you believe that July is almost a wrap? Amazing. Personally, I never like to hear people say, "Can you believe summer is almost over?" There are still a LOT of unknowns for businesses, families, and individuals as we go into August... Will there be more stimulus? Will enhanced unemployment continue? Will my children be going to school in-person or remote? And the list can go on...   As the conversation in Washington D.C. this week focuses around how to amend or extend the enhanced unemployment and what the next stimulus bill will look like, our conversations with customers, prospects, and friends nationally continues to be around the move -- that we talked about last week -- from a mindset of "How do I survive?" to a mindset of "How do I thrive?"   This week, as we dig into the question of "How do I thrive?" we are challenging business owners to spend time thinking about the infrastructure that is needed in their business to adapt, pivot, or transition (review our newsletter from last week for more on each of those). Once your framework -- adapt, pivot, or transition -- for "thriving" is identified, spend 3 hours identifying the infrastructure you need in order to maximize your success within that framework.   When we talk about infrastructure, I'm not talking about roads and bridges or even about desks and offices, I'm talking about business infrastructure.    Here are some examples of small business infrastructure: Marketing & Content Blog Platform Social Media Profiles Website  Accounting & Business Intelligence Accounting Software & Processes BI / Dashboard Systems & Processes CRM & Customer Support CRM Software Customer Support/ Ticketing Software Supply Chain & Inventory  Inventory Management Purchasing Management People Management & Training Payroll & Departments Recruiting Training & development IT Infrastructure Remote Meetings  Email & Biz Systems Cloud Storage So...Action items: Know your framework -- Adapt, Pivot, or Transition Identify your infrastructure needs -- See above.
